I can see where it may help them gain a better idea of who they would be hiring but at the same time, that is your personal life and if you are a good employee your personal life shouldn't effect your work life. I have some pictures on my FB of my 21st birthday (I kept them up because my parents are in them), but I honestly hardly go out and if they judged on those couple of pictures it would misrepresent me.
