The only thing wrong with Black Cat is that they have no retail operation. So far they're only at the farmers' market so we stock up in October and put lots of their wonderful baked items in our freezer so we can be reminded how great they are until the next summer.
What can anyone say? As a retired military family, we have traveled all over the world. NO BAKERY can beat Black Cat for quality, for service, for attention to detail . . . for it all!!!! Customer service is a thing of the past when it comes to many shops. Few are ready to stand up and greet ALL with superior customer service. Thank you Black Cat. Please, please, please open a local store front! You will succeed! anne king
We love any and all of the Black Cat products. We try to buy the breads and stock up but it never seems to happen as we just eat them up. YUM YUM
I have 6 folk here in Coastal S.C. all atwitter re Black Cat bakery.. they were lucky enough to receive goodies for Christmas..Lucky dogs.. Many may be moving to Montana charlie
As one who grew up with the trial and errors of teenage baking with my best male friend I can only say I have never been more proud to know the owner and to experience the best bake goods that can be provided. The treats, breads and cakes are beyond those any place could ever offer. The best gift anyone could ever recieve, each made with the best ingredients and more love than any. If you haven't yet expienced the Black Cat Bakery you sure are missing some of the best things in life. The person who said "man can not live by bread alone," was definitly not talking about those made at the Black Cat Bakery!
We've sent Black Cat's Huckleberry Coffee Cake and Stollen for Christmas gifts and they are always a hit.
Their baked goods are awesome.
Rumor has it they're opening a retail shop on Broadway this spring!
Not as pricey as Bernices - great Stollen during Christmas.

The huckleberry sour cream coffeecake is outstanding as is everything else I have tried at the farmers' market. And, we came all the way from Wisconsin to try it. Holiday mail orders are now a tradition.

Every year we order Black Cat's Christmas Stollen for friends and family. Black Cat ships it for us and all now say that the stollen has become an annual XMas morning tradition for them! Black Cat is the BEST!

Black Cat Bake Shop is one of the big draws for me when coming to Montana. I was first infatuated with the cinnamon rolls... then the morning bun...everything I try is my newest obsession. I have suffered the ills of unmatched greatness when sampling other baked goods in hopes of finding a similar taste. Patience is nothing I know well being from the stark sector of the southeastern Connecticut shoreline however I have no choice but to wait for the season which brings another one of springs greatest treasures....Black Cat @ the Missoula Farmer's Market!!

The heart and soul ,that goes into each and every piece of black cat's products is like no other on this planet... You can taste the love in each morsel that goes down your throat. There customer service is just like the good ole days they really do care what you think and what you want.Jack will go above and beyond and make you your own special order to pick up at the market! WHO DOES THAT ??? Black Cat does that..
My brother Jack and his wife Christy sends me his stollen every Christmas. All my New York friends and my family love it. We can't wait to receive it. It's great. You can't find stollen like this any where in New York State, even in the City. It's one of my favorite gifts I receive each year.

Best Stollen, coffee cake and bread ever! This baker has come a long way from his "truck driver cookie" days in NYS! The only trouble is I live in NYS and they are in Missoula! Wish they were closer!

When the morning buns come down the market HOT because they just came out of the oven?
