What is your favorite high-octane beer? Add Answer

For purposes of discussion, we'll say high-octane beer is anything over 8 percent alcohol by volume. With the passage of HB 400, Montana brewers can now brew beer up to 14 percent ABV. What are your favorite styles/brands of high-octane beer?

BLACK BUTTE XXI - DESCHUTES BREWERY

#3
21% ABV and oh so smooth!!! It doesn't get any better than this Reserve Series brew from Deschutes Brewery. Building on the existing chocolate notes already present in Black Butte Porter, brewers added Theo’s Chocolate cocoa nibs from Seattle, 1000 pounds of Bellatazza’s locally roasted Ethopian and Sumatran coffee, and then aged a portion of it in Stranahan’s Colorado whiskey barrels.
