If you are a victim of a sexual assault first and foremost we want you to know: what happened to you was evil and sorrowful and it was not your fault.
For far too long our society has taken away the voices of those crying out in pain. So often in the case of sexual assault the voice of the victim is silenced while the hand of the perpetrator is strengthened.
SpeakUpMissoula is a movement.
It is about finding your voice. It is about using our voices and the voices of others to bring to light the evil that is done in the darkness. It is about finding not just our voice, but THE voice of hope and healing. It is about hearing and believing the voice of God towards the oppressed, the silenced, the hurt and the abused.
Whether you or someone you know has been a victim of sexual assault we aim to bring awareness, empathy and hope to the city of Missoula.
